縫紉桌在廿世紀電視機普及之前可說是家庭常備的家具，家中的女性常在空閒之餘將縫紉當作休閒活動，縫製衣物或是編織毛衣.毛帽。
因為縫紉桌常需隨著工作的位置移動，所以常配有輪子好方便推移，為了收納工作需要的針線工具和毛線、布料，所以會有方便收納的大小分隔空間。
這張縫紉桌採上掀門設計，內部有一方格收納盒，以玫瑰木製作的櫃體花紋非常典雅美麗，現代雖然縫紉桌原本的功能已不常被需要，但小巧的尺寸和帶輪子的設計，作為小邊桌或床頭櫃都是不錯的選擇。
