In 1926, while designing lighting for Copenhagen’s Forum exhibition hall, Poul Henningsen introduced the first PH three-shade pendant (PH/3). Using multiple glass layers and downward-tilted angles to guide the light, the system delivered glare-free, evenly diffused illumination both downward and laterally. Henningsen subsequently developed the PH concept into dozens of classic models that became a touchstone of Danish design.
The PH 3/2 wall lamp continues this lineage. “3/2” denotes a top shade of approximately 29–30 cm paired with “2-series” lower shades; the three shade diameters are 29 cm / 14.4 cm / 7.5 cm. With a wall arm projection of 36.7 cm, it is ideal for entries, corridors, living-room vignettes, or bedside reading. The opal, mouth-blown three-layer glass provides soft, uniform diffusion, while the clean metal arm underscores the functional elegance of Scandinavian modern lighting.
