1969年Rud Thygesen & Johnny Sørensen 以系列家具參加哥本哈根匠師公會家具展，獲得首獎，該系列作品包含單人休閒椅、雙人休閒椅、凳和小几。因後來送給丹麥國王Frederik IX 作為70歲大壽的生日禮物，因此這系列作品被稱為"King's Chairs"。
而這張扶手椅於1981年設計，加入King's系列家族生產。
