A refined rectangular coffee table by Hvidt & Mølgaard for France & Søn, featuring generous corner radii and a slim “boat-shaped” edge. The four tapered legs screw into the top for easy disassembly and transport. The rosewood grain reads deep and lively, while the splayed, tapered legs keep the silhouette light. Its elongated top suits a three-seat sofa or open-plan living areas, serving equally well for display and coffee service.
Note: Published examples of model FD516 typically show teak tops with a caned undertier; this piece is rosewood and without a shelf, so the model number cannot be confirmed on current evidence.
