Kai Kristiansen’s classic entryway ensemble for Aksel Kjersgaard comprises three pieces: the low bench (Model 35), the two-drawer storage unit (Model 32), and the vertical mirror (Model 165). Finely grained rosewood and clean panel lines define the set; the drawers feature distinctive recessed oval pulls. Splayed, tapered legs keep the silhouette light, while the full-length mirror suits last-minute checks at the door. The bench and drawers provide seating, surface space, and everyday storage—an ideal solution for compact foyers and corridors.
Founded in Denmark in 1952 by the eponymous cabinetmaker, Aksel Kjersgaard focused on hall and occasional furniture from 1955 onward. Its collaboration with Kai Kristiansen produced icons such as Models 32/35 and 165—now signature pieces of the brand.
