Description

設計師 Jens H. Quistgaard 在駕船往返於自己的小島上時，為了解決過夜的問題提出了一個構想，設計出一張不需要釘子和螺釘就可以組裝的行軍床，它必須容易攜帶、方便運輸，為了滿足這些特點，他從玻璃瓶上的錐型木塞得到了靈感，利用錐型易於安裝的特性，設計出適合組裝的紡錘型木製圓棒，加上特製的金屬套件，以聰明簡單的方法解決了這項難題，最終這樣的設計框架得以延伸到休閒椅上。

這款休閒椅又被稱為「Safari Chair」遊獵椅、「Stokke Chair」棍棒椅，在幾項設計上，例如金屬椅腿結合雪橇式的框架結構，讓錐型的椅腿不會刮傷地面，還有將傳統馬車的鉸鍊加以改良，讓金屬套件更易於安裝及穩固，而椅背上的皮件固定在棍體上的方式，也是運用了他在船隻上固定船帆的經驗，這些細節來自於設計師在生活中的細微觀察，以及對作品的深思熟慮。

這張休閒椅最初於1965年由Richard Nissen的工坊製作，停產後曾短暫量產過兩次，一次是2004年 IQ Designs 推出了伸高座墊的柚木版本，另一次則是2011-2015年由丹麥製造商GUBI量產了煙燻橡木的版本，這張是由GUBI所生產製造的。
