Description

1951年的紐約MOMA的Good Design展覽中，丹麥設計師Peter Hvidt與Orla Molgaard Nielsen的AX Chair受到矚目。這件作品受到美國設計師夫婦Charles & Ray Eames的LCW影響，也是採用彎曲層積木板工法。這種工法將多層木片以膠結合，依設計需求彎曲輔以模具固定後即可定型。
1977年Peter Hvidt的兒子Christian Hvidt，將原本的AX椅重新設計，以積層曲木結合菱形實木的X型的結構，使得結構更為簡潔與強壯，椅面和椅背以彈簧、泡棉組合的結構，乘坐的舒適與支撐感更為提升，椅墊與椅架ˋ之間以螺栓固定，工業化的生產技術製作，模組化設計的兩側支架，可變化為不同功能的坐具，包括扶手椅、高背椅等。
