在廿世紀的丹麥家具設計師中， Ole Wanscher 以其優雅的設計著稱，他的父親是一位美術史學家，早年即帶著他往返於歐洲與埃及各地，這些古美術的薰陶以及對於異國文化的見識，反映在他所設計的家具作品上。

Wanscher配合的家具廠中France & Søn是其中致力於以標準化的工業化流程，達到如同家具匠師般的精準，也由於對國際市場的努力布局，他們的業務在廿世紀中期達到頂峰。Wanscher設計了一系列以木骨架搭配軟墊的作品，木質組件的接合係以五金達成，但精密度與耐用度不遜於傳統榫接，表現出他對於量產化的獨到研究。同款式也有休閒椅的版本編號FD107，而FD108設計後2年也推出極為相近的FD110，差別在搖椅的搖橇尾端有沒有突出於椅腳。
