This Superellipse dining table (A812) combines Piet Hein’s superellipse tabletop—developed with Bruno Mathsson—with Arne Jacobsen’s five-star column base from 1968. The superellipse balances the qualities of a rectangle and an oval, offering the corner-free comfort of a round table with the generous surface of a rectangular one. Finished in white laminate with an aluminum edge, the top reads slim and durable, while Jacobsen’s five-star pedestal provides stable support and leaves corner seating unobstructed for greater flexibility and comfort. Produced by Fritz Hansen since the late 1960s as part of the Superellipse/Supercircular table series, it remains a long-standing brand classic.
