Description

1944年二次世界大戰期間，美國品牌Emeco (Electrical Machine and Equipment Company)受到美國政府的要求，要製作一張耐用、防水、輕量、不怕海水腐蝕的軍用椅，這款號稱地球表面最堅固單椅的Navy 1006海軍椅就此誕生。有趣的是椅面的臀型是採用當年美國當紅女星 Betty Grable 的美臀翻模製作。

隨著美軍縮編，和平盛世不再需要那麼多能承受魚雷轟炸的好椅子，戰後轉型成為超級名模和好萊塢明星的最愛，在許多電影中出現，至今代表美國征服全世界 30 餘國。

經典的 Navy Chair 1006 使用 80% 的回收鋁材，其中一半來自於汽水罐，另一半來自於工業廢料。
