Description

丹麥家具設計師Arne Hovmand-Olsen 1919 年出生於丹麥的一個農場家庭。他從小就對繪畫和創作有興趣。在1938年他19歲時就在菲英島的櫥櫃製造商Peder Olsen Sibast當學徒。1941年他就讀位於奧胡斯的一所家具設計技術學校，之後他成立了自己的工作室。 Hovmand-Olsen的作品線條簡潔，擅長有機的曲線，設計很受歡迎，除了丹麥，美國的銷售也很成功，在1970年他的工作室結束。
期間他曾為製造商Alf Juul Rasmussen、AR Klingenberg & Søn、Bramin、Elven Geertsen、JL Møller、Jutex、Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik、P. Mikklesen、Pedersen & Knap 和 Skovmand & Andersen 等公司設計家具。
這張書桌由製造商Felballes Møbelfabrik 製作，過去大家都認為是常和製造商配合的設計師Kai  Kristiansen的作品，但在2022年出版的新書"Kai Kristiansen an Industrious Designer"中，Kai  Kristiansen說很多人都以為是我設計的 ，但其實是Arne Hovmand Olsen的作品。
這款弧形有機造型的書桌讓使用時有更多向的使用角度，雙面使用的設計，內側有抽屜方便收納，外側有書櫃可以放上仍在閱讀的書，另一側圓形的捲門收納櫃上層可以收納文具小物下層可以存放酒和酒杯，是件造型獨特辨識度很高的優美書桌。
