Description

身為Kaare Klint的好友與同僚，Mogens Koch也常向歷史名作汲取設計靈感，不過這件作品並非是向古文明致敬，而是受到軍用家具和1892年美國Gold Medal Camp家具公司設計的導演椅的啟發！與其不同之處在於自椅腿接地點向上延伸的結構使扶手和椅背更加穩定，皮質的扶手也讓使用者更加舒適。
這張折疊椅起初是由 Mogens Koch 在1932年為教堂備用椅的設計比賽而設計，在60 年代由家具製造商 Interna 將它正式量產，輕巧的設計和簡單方便收折的功能，加上的木製儲物架設計，是兼具現代美學和收納功能的作品，也成為Koch重新演繹傳統的折疊椅的代表之作。
MK16曾由不同製造商生產，有早期的Rud Rasmussen和1960年代量產的Interna，和N.C. Jensen Kjær與Carl Hansen & Søn。
