Description

Børge Mogensen的家具著重在銜接傳統與現代風格，並且注重功能主義，他認為好的家具不應該僅供少數人品賞，而應該讓人人都能擁有。設計上除了受到老師Kaare Klint的影響，也在學習家具的過程中受到美國Shaker家具的影響，這件簡約大方的長椅正凸顯了他的設計特色。 

1955年Børge Mogensen開始與製造商Fredericia密切合作，為他們設計適合工廠生產的家具，這件3171長椅於1956年的設計，是Mogensen早期為Fredericia設計的作品，搭配他的餐桌使用，其耐用的特性及簡約的造型讓人喜愛，椅背採用完整的一整塊橡木製成，選材嚴謹，微微傾斜的圓弧角度令人可以舒適地乘坐。
