商品描述

這件作品受到美國設計師Charles & Ray Eames的LCW影響，採用彎曲層積膠合板工法。這種工法最早在二戰期間用來製造英國Mosquito戰鬥機(又稱為"The Wooden Wonder")，製作方式是將多層木薄片以木紋交互垂直的方式膠合，依設計需求彎曲輔以模具固定後成型。設計師運用此技術，將椅面與椅背製作成符合人體曲線的曲面。椅腳以膠合曲木包覆柚木實木，讓椅腳的結構更強固。
由於採用了工業化的生產技術，使AX椅產量提升，兩側支架與中央椅背、椅面是模組化設計，讓製作成本可以降低，當年為了外銷運輸的方便，也使用螺栓的結合方式，是丹麥第一件組合式家具，因減少運送費用也使得AX椅在國際市場上獲得非常亮麗的成績。
