LamPetit於1966 年問世。起初只有黑色，但第二年就推出了橙色和灰色，後來又出現了一款特別的紅色。燈源使用12 伏特的汽車燈泡，因為丹麥是220V的電壓，在台灣需搭配變壓器使用。這盞燈常被認為是Verner Panton的設計，但在1966年Louis Poulsen 出版的雜誌LP & CO Nyt中，揭露是由Louis Poulsen旗下的設計師Bent Gantzel Boysen所設計。
"無論你在何處，在家或在旅行，只要你帶著LamPetit你就可以擁有自己的小光源，不會打擾到任何人"(Wherever you are with LamPetit, whether at home or travelling, you can have your own private little pool of light which won't bother anyone else.) LamPetit是一個可摺疊、好攜帶的檯/璧燈，可任意旋轉角度，12瓦的燈泡已附在燈具內，提供兩段式的光線，簡潔的造型是個方便多變的燈具。
