Description

阿瓦奧圖(Alvar Aalto)這位芬蘭20世紀最重要的建築師，可說是北歐現代建築的宗師，同時他也有許多家具的創作。1935年，奧圖與他的妻子及朋友們成立了Artek公司，推廣並銷售他的家具和設計，其中也包含了此件作品。特殊的椅腳來自於奧圖早期以實木部分鋸切後彎折而成的L形椅腳，而後於1946年演化為L形兩兩相對的Y形椅腳，最終於1954年轉變為此件的扇形椅腳，呈現出如哥德式教堂般的圓拱。此系列尚有咖啡桌及餐桌等不同樣式。
