BO72設計源自於Niels Vodder製作的NV-46，於1946年首次於哥本哈根匠師公會家具展展出，之後部分修改後改由家具廠Bovirke生產，編號BO72，最主要的差別是椅腳斜撐有無水平橫桿。除了Bovirke，日本家具廠Kitani也曾由Bovirke取得製作權，生產一段時間，目前則由丹麥公司One Collection生產。
