This rectangular dining table features a single-sided extension system. When closed, the table measures 138 cm in length and comfortably seats four people. By sliding the tabletop to one side and adding the 90 cm extension leaf, the total length increases to 228 cm, providing sufficient space for up to eight people. The extension leaf is secured to the table with metal fittings and can be stored beneath the tabletop when not in use.
The tabletop is rectangular with softly rounded edges. Two H-shaped leg frames are joined to the supporting structure beneath the tabletop by means of mortise-and-tenon joints along the long sides. The legs have gently rounded profiles and taper gradually towards the floor, while simple wooden connecting elements link the legs to the table frame. The leg structure is made from solid teak, while the main tabletop and extension leaf are finished in teak veneer.
A paper label for Edmund Jørgensen Boligmontering remains attached beneath the table. However, Edmund Jørgensen operated not only as a furniture workshop but also as a furniture retailer in Nakskov. It is therefore possible that this table was sold through Edmund Jørgensen rather than designed or manufactured by the company. At present, the identity of the original designer and manufacturer remains uncertain.
